The first iteration of the system was in my college dorm room. A bucket of water, a Arduino, a relay, a pump, and some tubing. Benefits were never having to water my plants, downside was having to refill the water.
So my second crack at the system is integrated with the water main, and uses a built in relay timer. The water travels from the main to a normally closed solenoid, then into some irrigation tubing which loops around the ceilings perimeter. The solenoid is controlled by a timer relay so it’s really easy to reprogram. Finally the tubing drops from the main loop down to water any plants around the room.
