Spun Epoxy Mirror
Making parabolic mirrors is hard. Spinning mirrors out of epoxy has been long researched and abandoned. However I’m stubborn so I attempted it regardless. The results were surprisingly high quality for the worst possible manufacturing contexts: pottery wheel, no degassing, not covered or in vacuum, random un-tuned epoxy. Below is a program I wrote to…

Topographic Map II
This topographic map displays the finger lakes, and general Ithaca area. It was produced the same way as the original. First I downloaded a height map of the region, then put that into blender and used color ramps to slice the map, finally it was vectorized. To that file I overlayed GIS street and location…

Ammonite Lamp
This was a present I designed for my mom. It’s modeled after an ammonite (prehistoric creature) and the lightbulb is held by its tentacles. It was first modeled and rendered in SolidWorks, and then laser cut.

Diving Helmet
Throughout my childhood I was fascinated with building diving helmets. It’s kinda the perfect strat, you get to be underwater, breathing, no fancy equipment, and you can just go up to refill it. The above design was my 7th grade science fair project, trying to figure out what configuration of weights was the most balanced.…

Table Model
This was my final project for Advanced Manufacturing, designing and rendering a table setting.

Bat Box
This was one of my first designs at the Faulhaber Fab Lab. It was modeled in SolidWorks and then CNC’d out of plywood. This allows rapid manufacturing of Bat Boxes.

For a brief moment I was interested in prosthetics, so I found an open source hand and ordered a kit.
