Foraminifera Wall Hanging
Foraminifera are fossilized zooplankton and phytoplankton, aka tiny shells. My mom studied them for her PhD. So I made a wall hanging by vectorizing Earnest Haeckel’s drawings, then laser cutting them.

Kapton Graphene
When Kapton (the funny little plastic tape) is laser cut it breaks down into a graphene foam. While the uses are varied, it is a conductor and can be used for resistive heating, or laser engraved PCB design, as only the laser engraved portions become a conductor. This was a little experiment I did to…

Rings
It took quite a few iterations to figure out ring making. These were done on a manual lathe. The first is made of brass, and barely fit, and was quite uncomfortable. The second one was steel, that ended predictably, after a few days I took the ring off my finger to be met with rust.…

Cabin Render
This is a quick render I did for fun and to learn how to import stuff into unreal engine. It was modeled and made in blender. This is one of my earlier renders.
-
Totoro Render
I love the little coal sprites from Totoro so I tried rendering them out, and learned the hair system in blender.

Prism (3D Printed)
This was my first test in 3d printing optics. The prism was printed on a Form 3 aka a SLA resin printer. As you can see with a bit of polishing I was able to make a working prism. This was advanced when I made a lens.

Surfer Render
So I had a black hole 3d render pop up on my feed so I learned how to do it, but I couldn’t get the colors perfect, so I doubled down. As such this is a rainbow iridescent surfer going around a rainbow black hole. Made in Blender.

Turn-it-in Box
My mom was a teacher, she asked for a box for students to turn in papers. This is laser cut, and the back has hinges and a locking mechanism.

Lasercut Ukulele
As soon as I finished my guitar I realized how hard it was to play, so of course I decided to start on a ukulele. While technically the design is ready to print I never got around to it. The design was made as before in Solidworks and parametric so it can be laser cut…
